Services and Fees
Recruitment
$30.00 per hour
This fee includes the services involved in advertising and recruiting of patients for clinical studies. Once patients are enrolled patient visits are scheduled according to study protocol.
Sample Collection Only
$30.00 for tumor and organ biopsies
$15.00 for other samples - blood and urinve collections, aspirates, etc.
$5.00 for each additional sample taken on same visit from same donor
These fees include
- Identification of an appropriate donor and scheduling of patients for sample collection
- Supplies required for common sample collection procedures (blood and urine collection, aspirates, etc.)
- Preparation and preservation of the sample (for example, centrifuge EDTA preserved blood and aliquot plasma into cryovials)
- A brief report of patient characteristics and interventions
Sample Retrieval
$15.00 per sample
This fee applies to samples that were prospectively banked by the CSC and is charged in addition to the collection fee. For example, an investigator wishing to purchase a tissue sample that was previously collected by CSC personnel would pay $30 (tissue collection fee) + $15 (sample retrieval fee) = $45
Sample Storage
$1.00 per cryovial per year at -80°C
CSC personnel will aliquot samples into barcoded cryovials and retain related data.
Clinical Examination
$20.00
This includes appointment scheduling and technical assistance for patient examination, as well as an examination up to 45 minutes in length. Examinations requiring additional time will be billed at a rate of $30 per hour.
Clinical Examination and Sample Collection
$30 for first sample (60 minutes)
$5.00 each additional sample same visit
This fee includes a clinical examination as described above, retrieval of laboratory results and routing these results to the investigators.
Additional Procedures
$30 per hour
This fee includes any work performed for a clinical investigation in excess of services described above. This may involve more detailed diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, extensive hospitalization, or prolonged examinations.
Additional Data Analysis, Data Entry, Patient Follow-up, or Sample Processing
$30 per hour
