The Terry Center:  Beginnings

Artist vision of the Randall B. Terry, Jr. Companion Animal Veterinary Medical Center

The two-year construction of the Randall B. Terry, Jr. Companion Animal Veterinary Medical Center is underway at the College of Veterinary Medicine. The Terry Center project is reshaping the campus and visitors should be aware that construction activities will limit parking and may change vehicle traffic at times.

Parking for the Veterinary Teaching Hospital will not be involved, however, and clients can still park immediately in front of the small animal or large animal hospital.

Visitors to the main CVM Building and to the CVM Research Building may find a few metered and handicapped spaces in the C permit lots. General parking is available in the unrestricted lots as indicated in the map below.

When completed in 2009, the Terry Center is expected to be the national model for excellence in companion animal medicine. The Terry Center will offer cutting-edge technologies for imaging, cardiac care, cancer treatments, internal medicine, and surgery; will more than double the size of the current companion animal hospital; and will help accommodate the more than 20,000 cases referred to the CVM each year.
