Course Objectives
This course will provide the participant with advanced instruction in neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, electrodiagnostics, neuropathology, large animal neurology, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology. The course is intended to provide a foundation in these areas for those interested in both clinical and research applications of the course material. Lecture sessions will be both interactive and didactic, and have been developed by an international faculty with expertise in these areas.

Registration Information
Tuition for the full course is $800 for residents and graduate students in any discipline. For all others, tuition is $1250. The registration deadline is May 1, 2008. Registrations will be accepted after May 1, 2008; however, tuition after this date is $1000 for residents and graduate students, and $1500 for all others. Payment is due in full at the time of registration. A refund less a 25% administrative fee will be granted for notices received in writing, either by mail, fax, or e-mail, by July 23, 2008. No refunds will be granted after the course has begun. The registration form is available here.

   

Housing and Meals
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Brownstone in Raleigh, with transportation to and from the college each day being provided. The room rate is $79 per night, which can be split between two people sharing a room. Please note that the room fee will only be split for those nights on which there are two people in the room. If one person arrives a day or two before their roommate, they will be responsible for the entire $79 for those nights. To secure your room, please e-mail Samantha Hartford with the following information:

  1. Your name
  2. Your arrival date
  3. Your departure date
  4. Whether or not you want to share a room with two double beds with another person.
  5. If you do want to share a room, and already know with whom, send the name of that person. If you would like a roommate assigned to you, please indicate your gender.

A few meals will be provided during the course; most nights you will be on your own for dinner. You will need to purchase your lunch in the CVM cafeteria each day; there is an ATM located in the cafeteria where you can get cash.

Transportation
Free parking is available a short walk from the College of Veterinary Medicine. Free transportation will be provided to and from the Holiday Inn Brownstone each day. If you are staying at a different hotel, you will be responsible for your own transportation.

The nearest airport is Raleigh-Durham International Airport, located 10 miles from the CVM.

Driving Directions

From Richmond, VA: Take I-85 South to US 1 South, I-440 West. Take exit 3 onto Hillsborough Street. The CVM is the second drive on the right.
From Charlotte, NC: Take I-85 North to I-40 East, to exit 289 (Wade Avenue). Take the Blue Ridge Road exit and turn right. The CVM will be on the left.
From Florence, SC: Take I-95 North to I-40 West. Take exit 293 onto I-440 North, then exit 3 onto Hillsborough Street. The CVM is the second drive on the right.
