Zoological medicine with an emphasis on invertebrates, fishes, amphibians, and reptiles. Dr. Lewbart is the faculty advisor for the NCSU-CVM Turtle Rescue Team.

Dr. Lewbart is interested in the pharmacology of various chemotherapeutics on ornamental fishes. He also pursues the answers to clinical problems involving captive and wild aquatic invertebrates, fishes, amphibians, and reptiles.
