Introduction
Welcome to the Companion Animal Epilepsy Research site at North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine! We hope that by visiting this site you will gain some additional understanding of the disease or you may find out about an interesting study that may benefit your pet. You will have the option of adding yourself and your pet to our nationwide database of epileptic pets for future studies, or make a donation to the Seizure Studies Fund at the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Foundation, Inc., to help us continue our efforts in this important topic in veterinary medicine.
Our goal is to learn more about the cause of epileptic seizures in dogs and cats and study more effective treatments for seizures in our companion animals.
Whatever your reason for visiting the Epilepsy Studies Site, we are glad you have visited-and we hope that together, we can make a difference for many pets affected by epilepsy.
If you have comments, ideas or questions, please do not hesitate to email them to my study coordinator, Julie Nettifee Osborne, RVT, BS at Julie_osborne@ncsu.edu
Warm Regards,
