| Introduction |
|
The Master of Veterinary Public Health (MVPH) program is designed to provide graduate training for veterinarians interested in pursuing public health service oriented careers with state, federal, and international agencies and animal health oriented careers with agricultural industries. The program supports the unique role that veterinarians can play as members of the broader public health community and in emergency program management. Enrolled students have the opportunity to take advantage of classes at both NCSU and UNC School of Public Health. However, the MVPH Program is a veterinary-oriented program. Enrolled students are veterinarians, many with years of prior veterinary practice experience. The MVPH builds on this training, by engaging the collective expertise of faculty mentors, enrolled students, and colleagues representating various local, state and federal agencies working throughout the Research Triangle community. |
