Dogs with Chronic Cough
Dr. Hawkins has several ongoing studies of chronic bronchitis in dogs. Partial client support may be available for dogs undergoing bronchoscopic examination for chronic cough. Dr. Hawkins would like to encourage referral of dogs with chronic cough.
Dogs with Chronic Diarrhea
Since June 2004, Dr. Sally Bissett and the NCSU Small Animal Internal Medicine service have offered a complete diagnostic investigation (valued at up to $1500) for dogs with chronic diarrhea at no charge to the owner. To qualify, dogs must be ›9 months old with either persistent diarrhea (≥1 month) or intermittent diarrhea (≥3 months). Dogs accepted into the trial will undergo a 6-week diet trial with a nutritionally complete diet formulated specifically for gastrointestinal disorders.
