Central Procedures Lab
The Central Procedures Laboratory (CPL) is an all-inclusive research support service center. We provide infrastructure, surgical, procedural, and technical support. For instance, CPL has three small animal (<200 lbs) and one large animal (>200 lbs) operating rooms. We also have support areas to meet all your surgical needs. These areas include instrument preparation, surgeon preparation, small animal preparation, and small animal and large animal recovery rooms. In addition, CPL has procedure rooms ( large and small), radiology, storage (dry and cold), laboratory space, and trained technicians available to facilitate your research needs.
North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine houses CPL. In addition to CPL, the College of Veterinary Medicine also encompasses 20 buildings on the main Centennial Biomedical Campus. The College is recognized on the strengths of its teaching, research, engagement, and patient care. The College is a leader in One Health with internationally recognized specialists in all veterinary clinical specialties and instruction in three departments — Clinical Sciences, Molecular Biomedical Sciences, and Population Health & Pathobiology. The Veterinary Health Complex boasts the 110,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Randall B. Terry, Jr. Companion Animal Veterinary Medical Center, the Equine and Farm Animal Veterinary Center, the Veterinary Health and Wellness Center, and Satellite and Field Veterinary Services.
