Description

NC State University is enrolling horses with at least two melanomas into a clinical trial that is using +/- immunotherapy with +/- pulsed electric fields to treat the tumors.

PARTICIPATION – Patients with at least two melanomas measuring 0.5cm-6cm will present to the Equine Hospital at NCSU for a total of three treatments at three-week intervals for treatment. At each visit the patient is required to stay overnight for observation as well as timed blood draws. After each treatment owners are asked to take daily photographs of the tumor site for seven days. As well as submit additional photographs at 1,2, and 3 months post-treatment.
