Description

The Stern Lab at NC State is looking for cats of all ages and breeds without previously diagnosed cardiovascular disease to join a heart health study.

Testing Requirements

Participating cats will come to NCSU for an advanced cardiac evaluation including:
Heart ultrasound
Complete blood
Blood Pressure
Blood test for markers of heart disease (NT-proBNP)
Kidney function blood test
Thyroid blood testing (if greater than six yrs old)

Financial Incentive

The advanced cardiac evaluation and diagnostics are all free of charge, valued at over $1,000
