NC State College of Veterinary Medicine is recruiting cats with chronic gingivostomatitis to explore if radiation therapy could serve as an effective treatment option.

Testing Requirements

Participation:
~ You will be required to bring your cat to NC State Veterinary Hospital for a total of 9 study
visits:
~ 1 screening visits
~ 2 radiation therapy visits
~A series of recheck visits

Eligibility

~ Cats with gingivostomatitis will be considered for this study. The initial focus will be on cats that have already received full mouth tooth extractions but are still painful with persistent gingivostomatitis.

~ To enroll, cats must be otherwise healthy (as determined via
physical examination and routine lab work).
