Dr. Kevin L. Anderson is a Professor of Ruminant Health Management at the College of Veterinary Medicine at NC State University. He grew up on a family dairy and crop farm in Minnesota and received his DVM from the University of Minnesota. As a clinical educator at the College, he has been involved in multiple aspects of ruminant health management. His research focus has been on infectious and metabolic diseases of ruminants, with a major interest in mastitis and milk quality of the ruminant species. Teaching efforts include veterinary, graduate and undergraduate courses, with considerable involvement in the College’s Teaching Animal Unit (TAU). He has been active in professional associations, such as the National Mastitis Council (currently on the Board of Directors), American Association of Bovine Practitioners (previous Chair of the Milk Quality and Udder Health Committee), American Veterinary Medical Association (previous Chair of the Mastitis Committee) and the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (member of Dairy Practice Residency Committee).
