Greer Kaylie Arthur, PhD

Dr. Greer Arthur joined NC State in June 2016 as a postdoctoral researcher with Dr. Glenn Cruse in the Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences. Alongside her research, which focused on using splice-switching antisense oligonucleotides to elucidate gene and protein functions in mast cells, she worked on different communications projects for the Graduate School, the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the Comparative Medicine Institute.

In 2018, she joined Dr. Sid Thakur and Dr. Andy Stringer in the new Global Health Program at the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) as the Global Health Program Specialist. In this role, she leads all branding and communications for the Global Health Program, in collaboration with the Office of Communications and Marketing at CVM. She also provides support for the Global Health Education Program.

Dr. Arthur received her BSc degree in Biomedical Sciences from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom, and her PhD in Immunology from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.
