Greer Kaylie Arthur, PhD

Greer is a researcher and science communicator with a background in immunology and molecular biology. Her expertise includes proposal writing and development, research synthesis, and science communication for specialist and non-specialist audiences. To support and raise awareness of research and education in the CVM global health program, she performs grant writing and editing, news writing, graphic design, website design and management, event organization and more.

Greer holds a Ph.D. degree in Immunology and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. She completed a two-year postdoctoral position in the CVM Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences under Glenn Cruse, investigating novel therapeutics for mast cell-driven diseases. She is currently a board member for Science Communicators of North Carolina, and has previously worked as an intern and science writer for The Lancet Respiratory Medicine and The Lancet Neurology, and communications specialist for the NC State Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Comparative Medicine Institute.
