Dr. Campbell graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, England. After a year in mixed animal practice he began an internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery at the Animal Health Trust, Newmarket, England. Following the internship he worked for a year in equine practice. He then undertook a residency in Equine Internal Medicine at the College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University (NCSU-CVM). After the residency he started a PhD in physiology under the guidance of Dr. Anthony Blikslager. Having successfully completed his PhD, Dr. Campbell accepted the position of Clinical Instructor of Anesthesiology and then Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at NCSU-CVM.
