Kaitlin Haney joined the Department of Clinical Sciences on May 11, 2015, as a Research Technician in Dr. Ed Breitschwerdt's lab. She is originally from Marion, NC, a small town in the mountains. She attended NC State University for her bachelors degree, and graduated with a major in Animal Science and a minor in Ag Business Management on May 9, 2015. She loves riding horses and is currently training her four year old Quarter Horse mare for barrel racing. She also helps train other people’s horses and hopes to someday have her own competition barn. Along with her horse, she has a three year old Border Collie/Dalmatian mix and an eleven year old domestic shorthair cat. She loves spending time with her pets, and they seem to enjoy Netflix as much as she does.
