Dr. Katherine (Kat) Pankratz received her DVM at the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2014 and completed a small animal rotating internship in New York. She completed her veterinary behavior residency at North Carolina State University and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists in 2018.

She was awarded the RK Anderson ACVB Resident Award and the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery Resident Best Paper Award for her research on the use of behavioral medication to improve the welfare of community cats. She is the Clinical Behavioral Medicine Fellow at North Carolina State University.
