Peggy Gross, MA, MLIS

Peggy Gross is the Director of the William Rand Kenan, Jr. Library of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University. Prior to joining NC State, Peggy worked at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine’s Welch Medical Library from 2010 to 2019. Previously, she was an Associate Director and library supervisor at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine’s branch campus in Pennsylvania.

While at Johns Hopkins, Peggy was Adjunct Associate Faculty, Department of Health Policy & Management in the Bloomberg School of Public Health. She received their “Excellence in Teaching Outstanding Faculty Recognition” award in 2016, 2017, and 2018 for the course Expert Searching for High Quality Evidence in the Online Environment. In 2018, Peggy also awarded the “Excellence in Teaching Outstanding Faculty Recognition” for a one credit Professional Development Seminar: Effective Online Searching. For eight years, she co-taught in the Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis course in the Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Peggy holds a Masters in English Literature and a K-12 teaching certification from Duquesne University. She earned an MS in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois--Urbana-Champaign. Currently, she is working part-time on a PhD in Higher Education at the University of Lancaster, UK focusing on Policy, Research, and Assessment.
