Thiago Vilar Silva, DVM, MSc, Ph.D.

Dr. Thiago Vilar Silva joined the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University in January of 2020 as Assistant Professor of Ruminant Theriogenology in the Department of Population Health and Pathobiology. He obtained his DVM degree in 2007, and worked for many years in private practice, focused in reproduction of bovine, economics, and general management of cattle farms. Dr. Silva received his Master degree in 2012 from the Federal University of Goias, Brazil, and his Ph.D from the same University in 2016. He also completed a residency programs in Food Animal Reproduction and Management at University of Florida in 2019.
