The Veterinary Medical Forum is designed to enhance informal communications between practitioners and NC State CVM faculty on issues pertinent to medicine and surgery. During these informal discussions, we will share current management ideas, procedures and techniques which we hope will be applicable to your practice. We invite you to bring your questions and/or cases (including radiographs) relative to the topics below.
Enhancing Veterinary Practice Through Competent Communication and Collaboration

This presentation will inform participants on how to facilitate relationship-centered interactions with clients and veterinary team members to maximize patient care, client satisfaction, and team effectiveness. Upon completion of this seminar, participants will be able to:
- Describe the principles of relationship-centeredness
- Apply core communication skills to enhance interactions with clients
- Explain the features of effective feedback
- Describe how to leverage competent communication to provide and receive feedback in the veterinary team

This seminar will offer one (1) hour of NCVMB approved CVME for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

Attendees who register at least one day prior to each forum will have a parking pass issued to them via e-mail which will permit parking in the CVM Deck. If you do not receive the parking pass via e-mail, allow yourself time to pick one up from the reception desk in the front lobby.
