Vet Med Forum- Dental Extractions, Techniques and Complications

The Veterinary Medical Forum is designed to enhance informal communications between practitioners and NC State CVM faculty on issues pertinent to medicine and surgery. During these informal discussions, we will share current management ideas, procedures and techniques which we hope will be applicable to your practice. We invite you to bring your questions and/or cases (including radiographs) relative to the topics below.


Dental Extractions, Techniques, and Complications

Lenin Arturo Villamizar Martinez, DVM, MS, PhD– Assistant Professor of Dentistry and Oral Surgery

At the conclusion of this lecture, participants will be able to identify the surgical equipment required to perform dental extractions in dogs and cats. The participants will apply the correct technique to perform dental extractions to avoid intra or postoperative complications.

Please note, this lecture will only be offered to attendees via a Live Zoom Lecture. Once registered, you will receive the Zoom link prior to the meeting to log on the day of. If you have a question during the lecture, use the chat feature to ask and the speaker will periodically answer questions.
