Description

NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine is looking for overweight dogs. The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the efficacy of an investigative diet as nutritional management for overweight dogs.

Owners will receive 6 months of free premium dog food, a free automatic pet food feeder and dog scale, and they will also receive a $120 gift card with study completion.

Testing Requirements

Patients will be required to come to NCSU for 2 study visits.

Owners must feed only the investigational diet and be willing to complete daily, weekly, and monthly questionnaires.

Owners must be willing to download 2 phone-based apps for sensor setup and questionnaires.

Patients must wear a collar with an attached activity sensor 24 hours a day

Eligibility

Your dog needs to be in relatively good health, must be overweight or obese, must not have any food allergies, must not be on any medications/supplements for mobility issues, and must have WiFi in your home.
