Animal Cancer Care (Oncology) at NC STATE
Resources for Pet Owners
After getting a cancer diagnosis, your veterinarian may call upon various specialists to participate in your pet’s care. At NC State, most cancer patients will be referred to see one of our three Oncology Services:
In addition to standard testing and/or treatment, many animal cancer patients may also be eligible to participate in clinical trials. If you have questions about your pet’s eligibility for a clinical trial, please reach out to our clinical research team, and/or ask about it when you meet with one of our veterinarians.

Resources for Veterinarians
At NC State, most small animal cancer patients are seen by one of our 3 Oncology Services. If you are unsure which service might be most appropriate for your specific patient, we can help; just submit a consult or referral to any of the 3 groups, and we can sort it out internally.
