Notice to Clients of the Veterinary Health Complex

If you visited the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine between noon Wednesday, October 8, and 3 p.m. Thursday, October 10, you or your pet may have inadvertently come into contact with a lawn treated with a herbicide spray.

Dr. David Dorman, CVM professor of toxicology and a board-certified veterinary toxicologist, has been consulted regarding the application and has determined that the risk to you or your pet is negligible.

You may have noticed a non-toxic green dye on the ground or on your pet’s feet. If you have noticed this dye on your pet, please use a mild soap such as Dawn dish washing liquid to remove the substance.

If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to email Dr. Dorman at david_dorman@ncsu.edu.
