Mike Charbonneau
Bio
A communications leader with more than 20 years of creative storytelling experience, Mike Charbonneau oversees strategic communications and marketing for the College of Veterinary Medicine. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication from NC State.
He also serves as a professor and Director of Internship Programs in the NC State Department of Communication (College of Humanities and Social Sciences).
Mike began his career in broadcast journalism and worked as a reporter for WRAL News in Raleigh for most of that time. As a journalist, he received two Emmy Awards and an investigative reporting award from the Associated Press.
Before joining the College of Veterinary Medicine, he led communications teams at NCDOT, GoTriangle and the Wake County Public School System.
