During their visit, students learned about our translational pain research through demonstrations of our behavioral and cognitive assessment tasks, as well as short presentations from lab members highlighting their individual research projects. We shared how our work aims to better understand and treat pain in animals in ways that can also inform and improve human pain care. It was a wonderful opportunity to engage with future leaders in veterinary medicine and research and to showcase the impact of collaborative, translational science.

Read more

   <use xlink:href="#wolficon-arrow-right-bold">

          <img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="2560" height="1440"
            class="content-card__image wp-image-225"
            alt=""
            src="https://cvm.ncsu.edu/translational-research-in-pain/wp-content/uploads/sites/446/2026/01/AdobeStock_63952160-neurons-1-scaled.jpg"
            style="aspect-ratio: 16/9;
