Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC)

Description
This study is looking for felines that have FIC (feline idiopathic cystitis). The goal is to test low-dose radiation therapy of the urinary tract, which is intended to reduce pain, inflammation and clinical signs of FIC (feline idiopathic cystitis).
Testing Requirements
Total participation is 1 year but the patient would only need to come to the NC State CVM for 2 visits.

Eligibility
We are looking for female cats that:
– must have a history of FIC
– cannot have an existing perineal urethrostomy
– cannot have any other major illness affecting their lifespan or ability to undergo anesthesia
