Osteoarthritis Oral Microbiome Analysis in Dogs

Description
A one-time saliva sample from your dog to analyze their oral microbiome (the microbial composition of their mouths). The analysis will allow us to identify patterns associated with the presence or absence of certain diseases.
Testing Requirements
A one-time visit to NCSU for a physical exam and saliva sample. There is also the option to have full body radiographs performed to confirm osteoarthritis.

Eligibility
We are looking for dogs with suspected or confirmed osteoarthritis that are at least 12 months old and weigh more than 1 kg.
Dogs cannot have been treated with antibiotics, antivirals, antifungals or probiotics within the last 30 days.
