Emergency and Critical Care
The Emergency and Critical Care team is headed by faculty emergency veterinarians board certified by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC), assisted by a team of emergency veterinary doctors and highly trained technicians. The team provides both 24-hour emergency veterinary services and critical care of hospitalized patients in our state-of-the-art veterinary intensive care unit.
NC State offers a three-year ACVECC-approved small animal emergency and critical care residency. The residency is designed to prepare candidates for board certification and adheres to guidelines set forth by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.
Our entire department, including faculty, clinicians, support staff and administrative staff, looks forward to providing our referring veterinarians, clients, and patients with a high standard of service.
