Osteoarthritis Oral Microbiome Analysis in Cats

Description

A one-time saliva sample from your cat to analyze their oral microbiome (the microbial composition of their mouths.) The analysis will allow us to identify patterns associated with the presence or absence of certain diseases.

Testing Requirements

A one-time visit to NCSU for a physical examination and saliva sample. There is also the option to have full body radiographs performed to confirm osteoarthritis

Eligibility

We are looking for cats with suspected or confirmed osteoarthritis that are at least 12 months old and weigh more than 1kg.
