Amy Lehman
Bio
Dr. Lehman received her BA in Conservation Biology from Pennsylvania’s Arcadia University. Before entering veterinary school, she moved to Equatorial Guinea, West Africa, with the Bioko Biodiversity Protection Program to pursue primate and sea turtle conservation efforts on the island. In 2011, she earned her DVM from North Carolina State University. Following graduation, she entered general practice in Alaska, where she worked with any non-human species whose people sought out a veterinarian. In 2017, she returned to North Carolina as a small animal practitioner, and she joined the teaching faculty at NCSU CVM in 2022. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, surgery, and exploring low-fidelity widely accessible models to further veterinary education anywhere.
