Cat Lineberry

Bio

Cat has been a long-time advocate and supporter of the NSCU CVM. She is keenly aware of how fortunate we are to have such an incredible academic and veterinary medical resource here in the Triangle. Cat is honored to serve on the Board of the NCVMF, along with other experienced individuals who are equally passionate about their animals and in awe of the unique medical knowledge and expertise at the CVM.

Cat’s background is in pharmaceutical and clinical drug development, across both small and large organizations. She was the co-founder and President of a clinical and regulatory research firm in RTP which was committed to helping their local, national, and international clients develop ongoing treatment advances in human medicine. She is now committed to helping the NCVMF attract the resources, faculty expertise and funding to keep the NCSU CVM at the forefront of veterinary medicine and to preserving its status as a top-tier veterinary college in the US.

Cat brings extensive board and volunteer experience to the NCVMF. She has been involved in various biotech and pharma initiatives, both for-profit and non-profit entities, including being on the board of a RTP incubator for start-ups, one of the largest in the country. She has also worked as a volunteer or in a board role in various animal rescue and wildlife entities as well as in community, environmental, educational and medical/health related causes.

Cat has always had a strong interest in veterinary medicine, principally due to the many canine and feline family members that she and her family have loved and cared for over the years. Some of those pets have been treated by specialty clinics within the NCSU CVM. Cat is grateful to the CVM for the compassion and care they have provided to her beloved feline and canine family members, all rescues, and she and her family have many bricks and pavers on the Walk of Honor in memory of their furry ones. Cat currently has an energetic and loving lab mix named Winnie who greets each day as the best one yet.

Cat has a bachelor’s degree in psychology (with a focus on experimental psych) and is Phi Beta Kappa from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also did graduate training in pharmacy administration at UNC. And while she is greatly enjoying her role as a member of the CVM Wolfpack community, she still appears to be hopelessly devoted to the legacy of Carolina basketball.
