Clinical Communications

A three-year preclinical communication program that allows DVM students to develop interpersonal and organizational skill sets through instruction and practice in teamwork, client interactions and public communication.

Here at the College of Veterinary Medicine, our students are exposed to an entire communication curriculum. Our one of a kind program gives students the opportunity to engage in communication training each year, from group communication to client communication.

Students have the opportunity to work in the communications lab with simulated clients focusing on topics such as routine wellness, difficult financial discussions, client adherence, and euthanasia.
