Combined Degree Programs
Customize your degree and enhance your knowledge by combining your DVM with another NC State world-class degree.
The College of Veterinary Medicine offers students of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Professional Program the opportunity to combine their DVM degree with either an MBA offered through the NC State Jenkins Graduate School of Management in the Poole College of Management or a PhD offered through the NC State Graduate School. Each option allows students to enhance their knowledge and combine their interests to customize their degree.
Applicants Must Be Accepted By Both Programs
Applicants interested in a combined degree program must be accepted by both colleges – the College of Veterinary Medicine and either the Poole College of Management or the NC State Graduate School.
Applications
The DVM application is handled through a national application procedure – the Veterinary Medical Common Application system or VMCAS. The College of Veterinary Medicine also requires a supplemental application that contains questions to determine the applicant’s interest in the MBA program or the PhD program. Once accepted to the DVM program, the student must then apply to the college offering the combined degree in which he or she is interested.
