The Office of Professional Education and Admissions

Academic Technology (AT), Curriculum and Instructional Design (CID), Admissions

Professional Education and Admissions seeks to empower current and future generations of veterinarians by providing compassionate, innovative, collaborative, authentic, expert, trainee-centered and competency-based education.

The Office of Professional Education and Admissions (OPEA) at the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine leads the professional veterinary program, from the recruitment and holistic selection of DVM candidates, to the oversight of the college’s academic infrastructure, to the training of veterinary students and the professional development of veterinary educators. The office integrates curriculum planning, instructional design, academic technology and expert teaching to ensure that both students and faculty have the innovative resources and evidence-based methods necessary to deliver a leading veterinary education program.
