Fall Session Series 2026

Creating Effective Assessments Hosted by Mari-Wells Hedgepath	This session offers an overview of some of the core principles behind creating effective educational assessments. Participants will explore critical topics such as validity, sources of measurement error, various assessment techniques, grading and fairness.	August 25th 12pm – 1:30pm
Foundations of Feedback Hosted by Bria Wright	This foundational seminar explores the essential principles of delivering and receiving effective feedback to drive growth and performance.	September 9th 12pm – 1pm
Saving Time with Rubrics Hosted by Jesse Watson	This seminar provides educators with practical strategies to streamline the grading process while maintaining quality feedback. Participants will learn how to design clear, effective evaluation tools that clarify expectations and significantly reduce overall assessment time.	September 15th 12pm – 1pm
Introduction of Statistical Analysis in Veterinary Education Research Hosted By Yang Qu	This seminar introduces the foundational principles of statistical analysis and demonstrates how to effectively apply them to research within the field of veterinary education.	October 27th 12pm – 1pm

AoE Book Club

Due to follow-up interest and enthusiasm after the AoE Session: Cultivating Psychological Safety, Tiffany Shin and Rebecca Maher are excited to host a weekly reading circle exploring the concepts in The Fearless Organization! We warmly welcome all faculty, staff, and students to bring their unique perspectives to the table. Expect engaging activities, shared resources, and rich, open discussions.

Cultivating a Psychologically Safe Learning Environment Hosted by Rebecca Maher	Learn and discuss how to cultivate a psychologically safe learning environment in the clinical setting.	March 24th 12pm. – 1pm
