Dr. Lai earned his DVM degree from National Chung-Hsing University in Taiwan. He pursued his interest in oncology by completing a master’s degree focused on clinical small animal oncology, integrating both clinical and research training. He went on to obtain a PhD in radiation and cancer biology at North Carolina State University. Dr. Lai is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (Radiation Oncology). He previously served as an oncology intern at Animal Cancer Care and Research Center in Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, and completed his radiation oncology residency training at Louisiana State University. His research interests center on developing novel therapeutics for head and neck cancers/diseases in combination with radiation therapy.
