Melissa Lewis

Bio

Dr. Lewis grew up in Raleigh, NC and received her Bachelor’s degree from Duke University. She received her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania and then completed a rotating internship, a neurology and neurosurgery residency and a PhD in comparative biomedical sciences, all at NC State. She then spent 5.5 years on faculty at Purdue University before returning to NC State.
Her research interests include neurotrauma with a focus on spinal cord injury in dogs.
