Walk of Honor
The Walk of Honor is a meaningful way to celebrate or remember a loved one – human or animal – through a lasting tribute at the College of Veterinary Medicine.
- 4” x 8” brick – $250
- 18” x 18” paver – $1,000
Each inscription becomes part of the Walk of Honor, creating an enduring testament to the special people and pets that inspire us.
How To Make A Walk of Honor Gift
There are two ways to purchase a brick or paver for the Walk of Honor:
- Purchase online via the Walk of Honor Order Form (preferred)
- Download and submit this paper form along with a check made payable to NC Veterinary Medical Foundation.
* Bricks and pavers are ordered two times a year (January 15th and July 15th) and can take up to 14 weeks to install after the order is placed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. You will receive a receipt from NC State for your tax records.
What will my brick look like?
Bricks are traditional 4” x 8” bricks, engraved with up to three lines of text (19 characters per line, including spaces).
Pavers are 18” x 18” concrete pavers, engraved with up to eight lines of text (24 characters per line, including spaces).
You may choose ALL CAPS, Title Case, or Mixed Case. We recommend ALL CAPS for maximum readability and durability.
Special characters, such as heart and paw print symbols, may be included and count as two characters each.
When will my brick/paver be installed in the walkway?
Bricks/Pavers are ordered two times per year (January 15th and July 15th) and may take up to 14 weeks to install after the order is placed. We’ll notify you once your brick or paver is installed along with its location in the walkway.
Will I be able to confirm the inscription provided?
If an email was provided, within one week of submitting your inscription, you will receive an email from vetmedfoundation@ncsu.edu to confirm the layout, prior to the order being submitted to our vendor.
How will I find my brick in the Walk of Honor?
We’ll notify you once your brick or paver is installed along with its location in the wallway. You may also search for the location here (Search here) and download a directional map here.
