Laura Schultz
Bio
Dr. Schultz attended Virginia Tech for undergraduate studies and received her DVM degree in 2002. Following graduation, she worked in Virginia for a year, then moved with her husband (a Naval Officer) to Kauai, San Diego, Guam, and then back to San Diego. She has worked with stranding programs, in primary care, shelters, and education throughout her career. In 2016, she started and opened her own hospital in San Diego and worked there until 2025 at which time she joined NCSU as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences. Currently, she teaches clinical skills to first through third year students. Her professional interests include surgery, behavior, cooperative care, and geriatric medicine.
