Biological Barriers

Researchers involved in the study of Biological Barriers evaluate the epithelium within the gut, lung, urogenital tract and eyes that interact with their respective internal or external environments. Disruption of biological barriers may lead to disease syndromes such as ulceration, sepsis, and chronic immune-mediated disease.
