Westie Foundation of America

The Westie Foundation of America is pleased to offer two Westie Foundation of America Scholarships in the amount of $5,000/each. We are looking for applications from candidates who meet the following requirements:

1. Be a 3rd to 4th year student in good standing at a U.S. College of Veterinary Medicine.

2. Demonstrates good moral character and participates in community services.

3. Provide a current resume/CV.

4. Provide two letters of recommendation from professors with whom you have worked.

5. Preferably shows an interest in purebred dogs, especially terriers, and an interest in ongoing research for them.

6. Submit a short essay, 500 words or less, describing your vision and goals for your veterinary career.

7. Must agree to be available to share your bio with the membership of the WFA in the form of a written report on progress which will be published in the Foundation’s newsletter and other social media.

8. Must provide permission to the WFA to utilize this information as part of its publicity campaign to promote continuing research into the health of purebred dogs.

All interested candidates should send their current CV, letters of recommendation, and essay to the WFA by March 15, 2022. The award will be announced on April 1, 2022.
