Veterinary Mobile Hospital

The mobile hospital primarily serves rural areas of North Carolina and has operated entirely on donations to the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Foundation since 2004.  Support for the mobile hospital is used to ensure it is equipped to respond during animal emergencies in North Carolina and across the United States. It also provides students with training to officially assist emergency responders in the event of a disaster. In the wake of storms like hurricanes Floyd and Katrina, the CVM has provided care and housing for displaced animals.

Companion Pet Assistance Fund

As any animal lover knows, veterinary care can be expensive. We understand that not every client that visits the CVM can afford the out-of-pocket cost of services that their animal requires. This fund provides financial options for clients and their pets when they need it most.

Turtle Rescue Team

The NC State Turtle Rescue Team is a volunteer organization run by veterinary students at North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. We provide medical, surgical and husbandry services free of charge in the hope of releasing rehabilitated turtles back into the wild. Your gift ensures our veterinary students involved with Turtle Rescue Team have the opportunity to not only learn, develop, and refine their medical skills on “exotic” species, but they also have the chance to contribute to protecting North Carolina’s native wildlife.
