Coat of Excellence

The Coat of Excellence recognition program allows you to honor an exceptional faculty clinician, intern, resident, or staff member who has touched you and your pet’s life in a meaningful way. The honoree receives an embroidered coat with the name of the recipient as well as your pet’s name and a plaque with the same information is installed on our Coat of Excellence display in the hospital. Your fully tax-deductible donation of $10,000 also supports clinical research and care and advances the efforts of teaching the next generation of veterinarians. The breakdown is as follows:

• $5,000 goes to the honoree’s service area to support their greatest needs, which may include equipment, research, and staff support.
  
• $2,500 goes to the NC State Veterinary Hospital to support client services, staff incentives and areas of need across the hospital.
  
• $1,500 is presented to the honoree as a cash award.

• $1,000 goes to the NC Veterinary Medical Foundation to support operational costs of the program.
