CVM Vaccine Requirements

Rabies vaccines are not required by NCSU. However, many extracurricular opportunities (live animal and necropsies) will require you to be vaccinated. If you choose not to get a rabies vaccine, you will be required to submit a waiver. Rabies vaccination is HIGHLY recommended. Immunity lasts a long time.

You can make an appointment at NCSU Campus Health to obtain your rabies vaccination. This is a two-dose series, so you will need two appointments. The charge in fall 2025 for EACH rabies shot is $370 plus a $25 administrative fee (subject to change without notice). If you need other vaccines at this time, you can arrange for them to be provided as well. Contact Campus Health at 919-515-2563.

If you have already received a rabies vaccination and need a titer, those will be available for a fee at the Campus Health, too.
