Kathryn Meurs currently serves as Randall B. Terry Jr. Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Welcome

It’s a real pleasure to welcome you to the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University. We strive to offer the very best in education, to our veterinary students in the classroom and clinics, and to our graduate students in laboratory and field experiences.

Our hospital and clinics are recognized for their state of the art diagnosis and treatment, with a strong focus on compassionate delivery of care to all our patients and owners. Our research enterprise is first rate, with outstanding researchers providing leadership and innovation in key disciplines that can make a real difference for both animal and human health, and for the environment. In service and engagement our impact extends from serving our local and regional veterinary clients, to national and global projects that serve all communities in the true spirit of a land grant university.

At North Carolina State University we are very fortunate as a College to be a critical part of the Centennial Biomedical Campus at a time of translational change in our university that will lead to huge developments in the life sciences. Veterinary medicine is a foundation stone in the one medicine model that provides society’s best prospect for improving the health of animals, people and our environment through translational research. All of us at the College of Veterinary Medicine look forward to enthusiastically playing a leadership role in this endeavor.
