Dedicated Feline Clinical Service

FHC hired its first staff member in May 2024! The Feline Clinical Technician assists with developing cat-specific areas in the Veterinary Hospital along with further improving feline-friendly handling techniques among students, interns, and residents.
- FHC staff also offers clinical support to specialty services in the The Randall B. Terry, Jr. Companion Animal Veterinary Medical Center and provides devoted patient care for cats undergoing hyperthyroid treatment.

An annual Feline Health Symposium with veterinary professional & non-veterinary tracks
A hospital-wide training initiative
- Interested staff members receive specialized training through the American Association of Feline Practitioners Cat Friendly Certificate Program. Once completed, individuals are deemed Cat Friendly Veterinary Professionals®.
Feline-focused Continued Education (CE) for the College of Veterinary Medicine’s veterinary technicians, assistants, & staff
