Jiwoong Her
Bio
Dr. Her received his DVM from Chungnam National University in South Korea and completed evaluated clinical experience at the Louisiana State University. After working as an ECC intern at Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center, he completed his master’s degree and residency in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care at Auburn University in 2020. He then worked as an Assistant Professor of Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care at the Ohio State University before joining NCSU. While at the OSU, he completed a fellowship in extracorporeal therapies and began a residency in nephrology and urology.

Clinical interests are focused on extracorporeal therapies, kidney disease, fluid therapy, oxygenation, and ventilation. The vast majority of scholarly interest is clinically oriented, aimed specifically at improving the diagnosis and treatment of critical conditions, including sepsis, respiratory diseases, and kidney diseases in dogs and cats.
