Bio

Dr. Harrell earned her veterinary degree from Michigan State University and graduated in 1991. Dr. Harrell completed an internship at the University of Minnesota in 1992 and chose to enter a private practice in Minnesota for 1 year prior to completing a residency in internal medicine at North Carolina State University in 1996. After obtaining board certification, Dr. Harrell spent 6 years in clinics and teaching at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. In 2005, she accepted her current position at North Carolina State University. In addition to clinical duties Dr. Harrell is director of the internship program and oversees the radioactive iodine treatment center at the veterinary hospital.
